Scratched anodising. Engraved plates where the paint has long since disappeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every single one of them was compliant the day it was installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regulators don\u2019t care how it looked on day one.<br>They care about one thing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Permanent. Legible. For the life of the asset.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AS 4991. AS\/NZS 3788. IECEx. TGA UDI.<br>Different industries, same requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And almost every tagging method on the market fails it \u2014 eventually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where they actually break<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Printed polyester labels<\/strong><br>The default for QR-coded asset tags. Cheap at around 50 cents each\u2026 and gone within 6\u201318 months in real conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diesel wash. UV. Sandblasting. Weld spatter. Take your pick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real cost isn\u2019t the label \u2014 it\u2019s the labour.<br>Replacing tags across thousands of assets, over and over again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stamped steel plates<\/strong><br>They last decades. That\u2019s why they\u2019re still mandated in a lot of compliance gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But they can\u2019t carry a QR code. No colour. No real data density.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So you end up adding a second system \u2014 usually a sticker \u2014 which drops you straight back into failure again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anodised aluminium<\/strong><br>Looks great on day one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then UV hits it. Then handling scratches it.<br>By the next inspection, it looks average at best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anodising was never designed for industrial tagging \u2014 it\u2019s an architectural finish that got repurposed because it was cheap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Engraved and paint-filled<\/strong><br>Old-school nameplate approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issue?
